TripValidator: how to check a holiday rental before you pay for it
A foreign IBAN, a payment outside the platform or a too-good-to-be-true price are classic scam signals. TripValidator checks them for you and explains each one before you pay.
Is that holiday rental a scam? Check it before you pay
Scam-risk report for holiday rentals from private owners: it checks phone, IBAN, website, photos, price, conditions, tourist licence and conversation with 18 detectors, official validators and AI, and scores the offer from 0 to 100 in two minutes.

TripValidator analyses a holiday rental offered by a private owner from the listing, the conversation with the owner and whatever details they gave: phone, IBAN, website, photos, tax ID, address and tourist licence. In about two minutes it returns a risk score from 0 to 100, every signal explained and what to check before paying.
The risk comes from a rules engine with 18 detectors built on the fraud patterns published by the Spanish police, the Guardia Civil, consumer group OCU and the platforms: foreign IBAN, payment outside the platform, too-good-to-be-true prices, fake tourist licences or websites impersonating Airbnb. Official validators check the IBAN (ISO 13616), Spanish DNI, NIE and CIF, phone numbering and the tourist-licence format of each region. A critical signal keeps the risk very high even when other signals look good.
In the full report, Anthropic's Claude reads the text, the conversation and the photos looking for what rules miss; it can add signals and raise the risk, never lower it. Every phone, IBAN, email, website, tax ID, address and photo analysed leaves a fingerprint: if it already showed up in risky offers or in verified reports from other travellers, the risk goes up. The history can be looked up for free and only shows aggregate counters.
The preview is free; a full report costs €9.99 (€8.33 per check in the pack of 3 and €6.99 in the pack of 10), with no subscription and no expiry, paid through Stripe. Photos are downsized in the browser, reports are private and bank details are never requested. Eight guides explain the most common scams and what to do if you have already paid.
